Unit 3 · Level 3 · Building Your System

The playbook

A PLAYBOOK is a small set of setups you trade over and over, each with written entry criteria, invalidation, target logic, and sizing. Pros don't trade 'the market'; they trade THEIR three or four plays, and pass on everything else. Boredom in between is part of the job.

What you get asked

  1. Why do professionals limit themselves to a few setups?

Fifty trades of ONE setup teaches you something real about it. Fifty random trades teach you nothing about anything. Focus is a data strategy.

  2. Match the playbook entry to what it must specify

If a play can't be written down precisely enough for someone else to trade it, it isn't a play yet. It's a mood.

  3. You already know three complete plays from this app. Which is NOT one of them?

You have a starter playbook already: three real setups with entries, invalidations, and psychology. Social trending is a liquidity donation program.

  4. One playbook play + fifty journaled reps = a computable ___ for that play.

This is where Leagues 2 and 3 fuse: the playbook creates repetition, the journal captures it, expectancy math judges it.

  5. A gorgeous setup appears, but it's not one of your plays. The playbook answer?

The playbook grows by promotion, not impulse: candidate → tested → sized up. Next lesson: how testing works. 🐜
