Unit 3 · Level 3 · Building Your System

Paper to live: the bridge

Paper trading teaches mechanics, but live trading adds an ingredient paper can't simulate: REAL fear and greed. The same trader, same setup, same rules, and suddenly hands hesitate on entries and grab profits early. The bridge must be crossed slowly, with stakes that sting but can't wound.

What you get asked

  1. What EXACTLY does live trading add that paper cannot?

Paper P&L is a score; live P&L is dinner. Your brain KNOWS the difference and quietly rewires your behavior. That rewiring is what the transition must train.

  2. Order the professional transition to live trading

The tiny-size phase is exposure therapy. You're training nerves, not returns.

  3. The first live size should be small enough that a full stop-out feels like a ___, not a wound.

If a loss disturbs your sleep or your next decision, the size is still too big for your current nerve. Nerve grows with reps, like muscle.

  4. Match the live-trading symptom to its diagnosis

The journal makes each drift visible: same plan, different behavior = the gap is emotional, and now it has a name.

  5. Formi's transition rule: when do you increase live size?

Never to recover losses. Size up on EVIDENCE, size down on drift. The account grows at the speed of your nerve, and that's the correct speed. 🐜
