Unit 3 · Level 1 · Charts & Candles
Volume: the lie detector
Volume is the amount traded in a period, usually drawn as bars under the chart. Price says WHAT happened; volume says HOW MANY people put money behind it. A move on big volume is a statement. A move on tiny volume is a rumor.

What you get asked
What does a volume bar under a candle measure?
Real money that changed hands. It can't be faked as easily as opinions can.
Price breaks to a new high, but on the lowest volume in weeks. How should you read it?
A breakout nobody showed up for is fragile. The crowd's conviction, measured in volume, is what makes moves stick.
A price move backed by high volume shows strong ___ from the market.
Volume is the market raising its hand and saying 'we mean this.'
Match the combo to its meaning
Price and volume together tell fuller stories than either alone.
You learned markets need liquidity in Unit 2. How does volume relate?
Easier fills, tighter spreads. Everything connects: volume ≈ activity ≈ liquidity ≈ tighter spreads ≈ cheaper trading. The units are stacking. Boss time next! 👑
